This experience often begins with a call, accessing MyUPMC, or connecting through Find a Doctor, to name a few. However, if we can’t provide an appointment in a timely manner, patients will find other healthcare systems that offer ease of scheduling and timeliness of seeing a care provider.
For us to improve patient access and offer ease and timeliness of scheduling, it is imperative to engage in a phased approach to “clean-Up” our Epic Templates. Only then can UPMC take the lead in improving online scheduling and continue to grow our patient base with the excellent experiences that they and we deserve.
The Clinical Practice Access Redesign Virtual Learning Modules I and II, will take you on a step-by-step journey in Epic Template clean-up. Module III focuses on utilizing on-line scheduling tools to improve the overall patient scheduling experience. The cycle of learning combines virtual online learning and virtual workshops to share your experiences, challenges, and barriers with your clinical practice colleagues.
